Our Coaches

All of our coaches are extensively trained in helping you get the most out of the OurRelationship program. When you sign up for the program, you’ll be able to pick a certain coach to work with (pending availability) or just pick the coach with the times that work best with your schedule. You’ll meet with the same coach throughout the program. You can read more about our coaches below.

Aqeel H.

Aqeel is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles. His areas of interest include neuropsychology, marriage and relationship therapy, and working with diverse populations from various backgrounds. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with friends and family.

Armen G.

Armen is pursuing his doctorate in clinical psychology with a focus on family and child psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles. As a therapist, he is interested in helping his clients to make everyday life, and the problems that come with it, feel more manageable. In his free time, he likes spending time with family and friends, watching and playing soccer, cooking, and traveling.

Ashley B.

Ashley is a doctoral student studying Clinical psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles, California. As a 13 year Army veteran and therapist Ashley is interested in working with veterans and other military members of different ethnicities, backgrounds, and ages work on their relationships with their significant others. Ashley has been on both ends of the spectrum in a military relationship both as the service member and as the significant other. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys antiquing, collecting vintage cameras and records as well as spending time with friends and loved ones.

Brianna M.

Brianna is a doctoral student studying Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University. She has a strong foundation in psychology, holding both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the field. Brianna has several years of clinical experience working with those struggling with substance abuse issues. Having conducted evidence-based research on the factors contributing to relationship contentment and discontentment, her drive and passion is to assist individuals in fostering positive and healthy interpersonal connections despite the obstacles they may face along the way. Her interests include fitness, traveling, and the dramatic arts.

Chase M.

Chase is a doctoral student studying Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. As a therapist, she specializes in working with families, children, and couples. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, walking in nature, and spending time with loved ones.

Emily H.

Emily is a doctoral student studying Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles. Her current clinical interests include health psychology – specifically, the application of psychological principles in female athletes, the interaction of the current health care and mental health care systems, and the accessibility and the integration of technology into the mental health care system. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and partner, taking a nap at the beach, and playing with her cat.

Kaitlyn H.

Kaitlyn is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles. Her interests include working with domestic violence survivors, individuals with severe mental health conditions, and working with diverse populations. She is passionate about helping individuals live a meaningful life. Her hobbies include writing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Leeron N.

Leeron is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles. Her areas of interest include neuropsychology and psychodiagnostics assessment, marital and couples therapy, and parenting style implications on lifespan development. As a therapist, she emphasizes a collaborative approach to establish a therapeutic relationship that is supportive, positive, and non-judgmental. In her spare time, she enjoys making pearl jewelry, traveling, and all things Harry Potter.

Loren E.

Loren is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles. Her interests include working with multi-cultural individuals, military psychology, and psychodiagnostics assessment. She is driven to understand the diverse circumstances of each individual and tailor her work to assist them best. In her free time, she enjoys being with her dog, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Marina S.

Marina is a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at Alliant International University. She is very passionate about psychology and about helping people. Her areas of interest are working with children and trauma and working as a college counselor. She is very excited to go on this journey with everyone and be the best support she can be. When she is not studying hard, she enjoys going to Disneyland, cooking, baking, finding new food places to try and being surrounded by the people she loves.

Coach-Paul

Paul M.

Paul is a military veteran in a master’s program in psychology at Pepperdine University. His areas of interest are working with active duty and veteran populations experiencing PTSD and trauma, working with children dealing with bullying, and supporting couples with parenting. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling to different countries, and watching a good movie.

Pixie B.

Pixie is a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at Alliant International University, Los Angeles. Her areas of interest include working with individuals with mental health challenges, individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community and integrating sexuality and gender with person-centered care. As a coach, Pixie strives to create a safe, respectful space to address core issues and work on effective communication. In her spare time, Pixie enjoys listening to a wide variety of music, exploring the city, and grabbing a cup of coffee with friends.

Samantha V.

Samantha is a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at Alliant International University in Los Angeles. Her areas of interest are depression and anxiety disorders in people with trauma. She is passionate about working with active duty, veterans, and diverse populations to get the right interventions that fit their needs. Samantha enjoys spending time with family, exploring different foods, and listening to Latin music

Shirley L.

Shirley is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University. She is a Navy veteran with a diverse clinical background working with active duty personnels, civilians, and veterans who struggle with mental health concerns. She is passionate in providing skills to clients to help them manage challenging situations. Her goal is to reduce negative stigma of therapy and mental health for people to seek help comfortably. In Shirley’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her three dogs, going to the gym, and exploring food places. Shirley is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University. Vanessa P.

Vanessa is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles, California. Her emphasis is in Multicultural community clinical psychology. She is interested in psychology as it relates to social justice, community psychology, and would like to focus on disparities of ethnic minorities in healthcare, education, and the criminal justice system. A goal of hers is to help rehabilitate the incarcerated and help with reintegration into society to reduce the recidivism rate. One intervention that she hopes to one day use is music therapy. In fact, she can hit whistle tones and when she is not singing, she is dancing, cooking, or playing with her newly adopted troublemaker (pup), Princesa.

Yae Ji K.

Yae Ji K. is doctoral student studying Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University. As a therapist, she wishes to provide services to couples of all sexual orientations, emphasizing in sex therapy. In her free time, she likes going to the gym and doing yoga but also likes to play tabletop games and PC games.
